The HOMA–Civilizational Dialogue and Harmony Foundation (HCDHF) is pleased to announce an upcoming Online Lecture titled “Literature and Civilizational Dialogue: Building Understanding Across Cultures”, to be held on Friday, 28 August 2026, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM (IST).

The lecture will feature Professor Dr. Sharmistha Chatterjee. Professor Chatterjee is Head of the Department of English at Aliah University, West Bengal, and former Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Languages. With over 28 years of teaching experience, she specializes in South Asian literature, Translation studies, Postcolonialism, Environmental Humanities, Gender studies, and English Language teaching. Professor Chatterjee holds a PhD on Postcolonial Indian Poetry in English and has pursued advanced language studies at the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. She has authored and edited numerous books and articles, including works on Translation studies and Postcolonialism. Recipient of multiple research and travel grants, she has presented extensively at national and international conferences. Professor Chatterjee has also been actively involved in faculty development programs, the Partition Repository Project, and women’s empowerment initiatives. She has supervised MPhil and PhD scholars and serves as a peer reviewer for prestigious journals. Her recent awards include the “50 and under 50” Making India Employable Award and the Prof. Indira Parikh Women in Education Leaders award. 

The HOMA–Civilizational Dialogue and Harmony Foundation (HCDHF) is pleased to announce an upcoming Online Lecture titled “Reimagining Diversity and Harmony Through Civilizational Dialogue in Today's Global Context”, to be held on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM (IST).

The lecture will feature Professor Dr. Andrew James Boyd. Professor Andrew is Senior Program Manager of the KAICIID International Fellows Program, at the International Dialogue Centre – KAICIID, Portugal. Prior to joining KAICIID staff in 2024, he was a professor of theology and religious studies in Rome, specializing in ecclesiology, ecumenism, and interreligious dialogue. Over nearly 15 years, he taught for the Pontifical Beda College, The Catholic University of America (Washington, DC), The Australian Catholic University (Melbourne, AU), Assumption College (Worcester, Mass.), and Richmond University (London, UK), as well as the Continuing Education Program of the Pontifical North American College and the Institute for Pastoral Studies at Loyola University Chicago. 

He came to Rome in 2009 as a Russell Berrie Fellow in Interreligious Studies and worked as assistant director of the John Paul II Center for Interreligious Dialogue at the Pontifical University of San Tommaso D’Aquino. He has been a Fellow of the Tantur Ecumenical Institute in Jerusalem. He was a KAICIID Fellow in 2019. He serves on the board of directors of the North American Academy of Ecumenists and is a global consultant to the World Organization of the Scout Movement on spirituality and interreligious dialogue.

His motto is “Truth has no fear of dialogue.”

The lecture will feature Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Siddiqi, an Eminent Professor & Former Vice-Chancellor Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, Jammu & Kashmir, India, as the Keynote Speaker.  Prof. Dr. Mohd Hyzan Yusof, Managing Director, OSA Technologies Sdn. Bhd. and Senior Consultant and Surgeon of Orthopaedic at Sunway Medical Centre, Malaysia, will join us as the Chair of the session. The session will open with a Welcoming Address by Prof. Dr. Hamidullah Marazi, President of HCDHF, and will be moderated by Dr. Fareed Ahmad Malik, Secretary General, HCDHF.

The lecture will feature Prof. Dr. Siddharth M. The lecture will feature Prof. Dr. Ratan Lal Hangloo, renowned historian and civilizational scholar, as the Keynote Speaker, with Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Farouk Musa delivering the Presiding Address. The session will open with a Welcoming Address by Prof. Dr. Hamidullah Marazi, President of HCDHF, and will be moderated by Dr. Fareed Ahmad Malik, Secretary General, HCDHF.

The lecture will feature Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Berghout, a distinguished scholar in civilizational studies and Islamic thought, as the Keynote Speaker. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ceric, who is a prominent Bosnian Islamic scholar, theologian, and the Former Grand Mufti and co-recipient of the 2003 UNESCO Felix Houphouet-Boigny Peace Prize,  will deliver the Presiding Address. The session will commence with a Welcoming Address by Prof. Dr. Hamidullah Marazi, President of HCDHF, and will be moderated by Dr. Fareed Ahmad Malik, Secretary General of HCDHF.
